My Skincare Routine!

As a heavy makeup girl, skincare is EXTREMELY important to me!

I need to make sure when I remove all this makeup every night, my skin is healthy and thriving.
If you're struggling with acne or dark spots, take a look at my 7-step nighttime skincare routine to see what's helped my oily skin over the past year and a half.

MAKEUP WIPES

Dickinson's Cleansing Cloths $5 or Neutrogena Cleansing Towelettes $6

I start off by my removing my makeup with whichever one of these makeup wipes I have on hand. They both get the job done without irritating my skin or drying it out!

CLEANSERS
Cetaphil: Daily Facial Cleanser $7 + Drunk Elephant: Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser $32

Next, I go in with a liquid cleanser to remove any leftover makeup that is more than likely waiting to clog my pores. This combo helped after I finished my session of Accutane. It's an oral medication that treats severe cystic acne by drying out your skin, then healing and repairing you from inside the body (it's freaking intense).

Drunk Elephant has been a favorite since I stumbled in Sephora a year and a half ago, fed up having to deal with hyper-pigmentation. This amazing cleanser helps my skin feel smooth and so clean afterwards.

EXFOLIATORS (2x a week)
AmorePacific: Treatment Enzyme Peel $60 or Tatcha: The Deep Cleanse $38

After cleansing, I move on to exfoliating my face thoroughly either twice or three times a week. If you have sensitive skin, I recommend using Tatcha instead as it's not as harsh.

TONER
Ole Henriksen: Glow2OH Dark Spot Remover $28

After I dry my face with a paper towel, I move on to toning! This toner has helped my dark spots tremendously. I gently sweep one cotton pad on each side of my face, then let it air dry before moving on to the next step.

SERUM
Drunk Elephant: T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum $90

In my opinion, toners and serums are the most important steps to seeing a big change in your skin. I've been using this serum for the past month and have seen a HUGE difference compared to the Peach & Lily one I was using. Make sure to lightly pat the serum in instead of rubbing it so it can fully absorb.

MOISTURIZER
Sunday Riley: Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream $65

After the serum is fully absorbed, we move on to moisturizing! Again, you want to continue to pat this into your skin for maximum absorption. Almost everything I use has a focus on brightening because that's my main skin concern.

EYE CREAM
Drunk Elephant: C-Tango Multi-Vitamin Eye Cream $64

The final step is tackling those deep, dark and lovely under eye circles. Now trust me, my dark circles have come a longgg way. Where the darkness has gotten much better, I have been battling my little eye bags that are the hardest to get rid of.

You only need to pat a pea-sized amount under your eyes, be careful since it's such a delicate area.

It may seem extensive but I look at my skincare as an investment.
I'm only 24 years old, but keeping a strong routine now will only aid to my skin's health as I get older.

So just remember, always, always, ALWAYS remove your makeup every night.
If you keep that consistency up and use the right products for your skin, then you'll be glowing in no time honey.

Note- I purchased all of these products through Sephora apart from Dickinson's and Cetaphil products.
